I lost my passport before we left. Applied for it ~2 weeks before we left, had a neighbor keeping an eye on my place, and overnight it to us in Imlay City Michigan so we could pick it up before crossing into Canada. Apparently it arrived a day or two before we did, and the postlady couldn't believe there was something for "general delivery" at her post office. They were taking bets on if I'd show up to claim it apparently.
